The Senior Board of Children’s Hospital Foundation invites you to join us for the 9th annual Words & Wisdom featuring Broadway actor Miguel Cervantes, best known for his standout performances as Alexander Hamilton in Hamilton: An American Musical, a role for which he was hand-picked by the show’s creator and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda.
His remarkable journey throughout his young daughter’s battle with epilepsy serves as a testament to the transformative power of art and reminds us of the boundless potential that lies within each of us to create, inspire, and change the world. This inspiring evening benefits Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Children's Hospital at VCU is dedicated to providing unstoppable care to the children of Virginia and beyond--a promise we've kept for over 100 years. That commitment reached new heights with the opening of the Tower in 2023. But opening its doors was just the beginning, a launchpad for everything still to come. The needs of children in our community are unpredictable and ever-changing, and as their first line of defense, it's our responsibility to evolve alongside them. So just as we always have, we're taking the next steps to grow so we can be ready to meet whatever tomorrow brings.

Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU is our region's only full-service children's hospital. With more than a city block dedicated to caring for kids in downtown Richmond, and satellite locations throughout Central and Northern Virginia, CHoR provides specialized care when and where it’s needed. CHoR has been caring for kids for over 100 years and continues to grow, and with support from friends like you, our team will continue to make an undeniable difference for the 80,000 children and families who rely on us for care each year.
